HASBARCO Non-Smoking Policy – Santa Barbara County, CA

FSS ProgramTo protect the health and safety of all residents, all HASBARCO Public Housing properties have been smoke-free since October 1, 2013.

Smoking is not permitted:

  • Non-Smoking PolicyInside any residential unit or building
  • Within 25 feet of any HASBARCO building
  • In all indoor and outdoor common areas

As of January 15, 2016, the smoke-free boundary was expanded from 20 feet to 25 feet. Any designated smoking areas were relocated to meet this requirement.

High-rise properties have clearly marked smoking areas. Other properties do not have designated areas and must follow the 25-foot rule. Residents with questions should contact property management.
